As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness, comfort and aesthetic appeal of our property. You will lead a team of housekeeping colleagues, overseeing their daily tasks and ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness and presentation are consistently met. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering unparalleled hospitality to our guests. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping colleagues, including room attendants and laundry attendants * Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping team members, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained according to established standards * Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness and compliance with hotel standards * Train new housekeeping staff members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and hotel policies * Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, and coordinate with the housekeeping manager to place orders as needed * Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally, striving to exceed guest expectations at all times * Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of housekeeping activities * Maintain a safe working environment for housekeeping staff by enforcing safety procedures and conducting regular training on proper lifting techniques, chemical handling and equipment usage Qualifications * Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team * Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively * Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation * Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and chemical handling procedures * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed * Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications Company Overview Proper Hospitality is made up of a diverse group of passionate individuals who share a common love for hotels and the art of hospitality.
