Job Description Job Description Job Description – Housekeeping/Laundry The Lincoln Hall housekeeping department will provide basic housekeeping services for all residential dormitories. The housekeeping department will be responsible to ensure all equipment is cleaned, disinfected and properly stored at the end of the shift. Responsibilities The housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the cottages (dormitories) by assisting in the cleaning needs and requirements of Lincoln Hall. This responsibility requires attention to detail. The ability to effectively clean and disinfect and to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for the residential population. The staff will work with directing supervision while getting familiar with the company‘s policies work shifts, residential possessions and privacy concerns. The housekeeping department will focus mainly on the areas of the cottages that need deep cleaning with the use of certain chemicals. Essential Functions * Cleaning tasks such as * Dusting vents and ceiling fans * Mopping, sweeping, waxing floors * Using approved cleaners to sanitize communal areas * Refilling supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizing stations. * Laundry for the residents. (Follow schedule) * Performing maintenance activities related to cleaning such as ensuring bathrooms and kitchens are sanitary * Order and keeping inventory of new supplies return provide laundry services for the cottage dormitories Qualifications * High School diploma required. * Two years minimum experience working in dormitory environment Skills required Must be reliable and effective communicator Dash excellent knowledge of cleaning appliances in the operation and proper use of chemical agents Dash attention to detail. Physical strength to conduct daily responsibilities.
